Chafer Grub Control

Chafer grubs are the larvae of chafer beetles that live in soil. Some species feed on plant material or roots, while others can damage grass roots in lawns. Signs of damage include yellow patches and turf torn up by animals feeding on the grubs. Chafer grubs have white, C-shaped bodies and can grow up to 18mm long. Some chafer grubs found in turf and garden borders, like cockchafer, summer chafer, and brown chafer, are not harmful. Leatherjackets can also cause root damage in lawns.
